Creative English Program

Creative English 1 (CE1)
Ages 6-7, P1-P2

The class has three components which are equally weighted:
1. Writing and speaking to introduce new vocabulary and practise conversational English
2. Small-group role-play and language games to develop peer interaction and confidence
3. Language-based computer activities to develop grammar and reinforce vocabulary

Students are expected to become able to:

Construct statements and questions using elementary grammatical patterns in spoken and written English
Demonstrate comprehension of statements and questions using elementary grammar in spoken and written English
Speak and write using the basic vocabulary of everyday living
Identify common errors in the production of the English sounds
Produce basic phonological patterns of the English language in rhythm, stress, and intonation



Creative English 2 (CE2)
Ages 8-9, P3-P4


The class has three components which are equally weighted:

1. Topic-based conversational work in small groups to focus on developing fluency
2. Role-play and language games to develop operational confidence in the english environment
3. Language-based computer activities to develop vocabulary and grammar

Students are expected to become able to:
Speak and write using the extended vocabulary of daily life
Engage in conversations with native speakers at normal pace
Construct statements and questions using standard grammatical patterns in written English
Communicate efectively when on holiday in an English speaking country
Create basic original compositions in poetry and prose
Begin to have confidence when presenting information and original ideas to an audience


Creative English 3 (CE3)
Ages 10-11, P5-P6


The class has three components which are equally weighted:
1. Topic-based conversational work in small groups to focus on developing fluency
2. Role-play and language games to develop operational confidence in the english environment
3. Language-based computer activities to develop vocabulary and grammar

Students are expected to become able to:
Speak and write using the extended vocabulary of daily life
Engage in conversations with native speakers at normal pace

Creative English 4 (CE4)
Ages 12-15, F1-F3


The class has three components which are equally weighted:
1. Topic-based conversational work in small groups to focus on developing fluency
2. Role-play and language games to develop operational confidence in the english environment
3. Language-based computer activities to develop vocabulary and grammar

Students are expected to become able to:
Speak using the extended vocabulary of everyday life
Engage freely in conversations with native English speakers both in HK and overseas
Write original sentences using advanced-level grammar and vocabulary
Organize sentences and paragraphs in a logical sequence
Use conjunctions and transitions to connect ideas logically and coherently in paragraphs and short essays
Identify non-verbal communication skills in conversations
Demonstrate organization and expression of ideas in a logical sequence
